Operations Engineer (m/f/d)

Nagold
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

At Olmatic, we cut energy costs for industrial companies. Our AI platform visions controls, forecasts and optimizes complex energy systems on site.

As Operations Engineer, you bring visions into live operation at our customers and make sure it runs reliably there. To do this, you use AI tools, cloud and your own code – and automate every step that happens twice. Your benchmark: cut the time to first customer value to a minimum and maximize that value from then on.

  • Reliable Operations: You make sure the automations and data flows of visions run stably – you detect incidents, manage recovery and fix root causes for good.

  • Automation & Scaling: You standardize onboarding and operations with AI tools, scripts and automation so that every new customer becomes productive faster.

  • Integration & Connectivity: You analyze infrastructure and data paths and implement the integration – from metering data and energy management and control systems to supplier portals and ERP, coordinated across multiple sites.

  • Operational Readiness: You validate data flows end to end, set up monitoring and alerting and confirm technical operational readiness.

  • Technical Feasibility: You check technical prerequisites at the customer during the sales phase, assess feasibility and technically approve offers.

  • Feedback to Engineering: You turn recurring issues into clear requirements for engineering and follow them through to resolution.

Your profile

  • A degree or vocational training in computer science, electrical or energy engineering, or a comparable qualification.

  • At least 2 years of experience in system integration, interfaces or technical operations.

  • Confidence with cloud environments and Python/SQL. You don’t need to know everything, but you get up to speed quickly.

  • You use AI tools as a matter of course to work faster and cleaner.

  • Very good German for customer contact and good English.

  • Willingness to attend customer appointments on site in the DACH region.

  • Pluses: Experience with industrial interfaces (e.g. Modbus), energy market communication, incident management or first leadership experience.

Why us?

  • Ownership from Day 1: You help build Product Operations – processes, tools and standards carry your signature. As the area grows, the lead role is intended for you.

  • Real Impact: visions measurably reduces energy costs for industrial companies – you see directly what your setup achieves.

  • AI tools as standard are a given here. You automate what others still do by hand.

  • Maximum Momentum Without Risk: Behind us stands the Boysen Group with 5,100 employees and 30 locations worldwide. You build a product in an agile team – on a solid foundation.

  • Trust-Based Working Hours: We work together on site at BIN Nagold – short paths to engineering and all other teams. You decide for yourself when your working day starts and ends.
